“The soul is born in beauty, feeds on beauty, needs beauty for its existence.”

About Sandra
Dr. Sandra Luz del Castillo, PhD is a Jungian mentor, ritual artist, mythologist, dream guide, and the host of Blue Medicine Journal: A Jungian Podcast.
The daughter of a Mexican indigenous father and Scotch-Irish mother, she grew up in California, visiting family and vacationing in Mexico every winter. She moved to Mexico with her three children, where she lived for 15 years, studying and teaching in four different states.
She is the creator and host of “Blue Medicine Journal: A Jungian Podcast,” dedicated to imagining a new world into being. Sandra has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Jungian and Archetypal Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and a BA in English literature from UC Berkeley.
Her work blends worlds; privileging Mesoamerica, she applies a Jungian lens to these ancient and ensouled worldviews, mythologies, and Aztec philosophy. As she sees it, this is the true gold– buried,
but not lost, to the Spanish Conquest– and crucial today in
this dire and kairos moment.
